1991 Toyota MR-2 Rev 2 T-Bar

Description

This is a 1992 (January) MR2 Revision 2 GT turbo T-Bar, with only 78,827km as standard. The car also features 5 speed manual transmission and is The Revision 2 of the SW20 turbo (JDM Market only). This was Toyota’s answer to the criticisms leveled at the first generation of the MR-2. With larger 15” alloy wheels (After market wheels with 205/45-ZR16 Front & 225/45-ZR16 Rear now fitted), beefier anti roll bars and other suspension modifications, high speed stability was much improved over earlier models. Basically, they made an already amazing car better. This example’s GT Specification includes: Optional Recaro sports seats which were fitted from factory, remote control mirrors with retract mode, ABS, electric power steering, climate control a/c, electric windows, central locking.

Also fitted to this example is a Momo leather covered sports steering wheel, Momo leather trimmed gear lever and standard leather shift boot, fitted mats, 3 piece rear spoiler, driving lights integrated into the front bumper, etc. There’s a Kenwood MD/CD Radio unit of high quality fitted and a turbo timer also.

The T-Bar glass comes out and is storable behind each seat. In the trunk at the rear, there’s an optional plastic liner.

Overall this vehicle is in amazing shape. As the pictures show, it has been care for all of its life. Interior on this vehicle is flawless and there are only two minor imperfections to the exterior body. These include minor corrosion on the passenger side sill. Both of these are clearly marked in the pictures above. The underside of the car however is completely rust free. The second minor flaw is on the spoiler where there is some damage it the paint. These are both extremely minor issues and this will be one of the nicest MR-2’s to come to Canada thus far.

Vehicle is also accident free.

The care drives very well with no faults at all to report. Boost is strong through the entire range of the RPM’s and a difference can be felt between this model (Rev. 2) and the previous MR-2, primarily with its stability.
